The American/Berber (Amazigh), husband and wife team of Ali Ait Daoud, Moroccan born and raised, and his wife, Christina Angell Ait Daoud, an American attorney, deliver Your Moroccan Experience; where local expertise and flavor meet Western service expectations and attention to detail.

Christina Angell

Christina is American and grew up in San Francisco/Bay Area.  She has spent her life working and traveling around the world. Her professional background is primarily in high tech and in the law.  She maintains a dual residence, one in California and one in Morocco.  

She has personally travelled to almost every corner of Morocco and brings her attention to detail and emphasis on service to her role as co-Director of Your Moroccan Experience.  She speaks English, French, Spanish, some Italian and is learning Darija (Moroccan dialect of Arabic).

Christina is motivated by her desire to share her love of the beautiful country of Morocco with as many visitors as possible. Christina is available by arrangement to accompany your party, should you desire to have a female presence (at an additional charge.) As a Bay Area native, she is also committed to making sure that people of all backgrounds, gender, sexual orientation, race, and religion have a superior and safe holiday.

She will work with you to organize and personalize your trip for the ultimate Moroccan experience. 

Ali Ait Daoud

Director / Personal Driver

Ali is a local Berber (of the proud Amazigh people). He was born and raised in the Sahara desert, located in the Southern part of Morocco. He grew up providing services to the many tourist enterprises located in the enchanting Sahara desert; becoming conversant early in English and Western culture.

He studied English in college and at the University of Ibn Zohr in Agadir. He also speaks French, Arabic, Darija (Moroccan dialect of Arabic) and his native Tamazight (Berber language).

Ali has traveled to every corner of Morocco and is part of a large network of drivers, guides, hoteliers, restaurateurs who provide goods and services throughout Morocco from North to South.

If you want something done, you call Ali. If you are looking for something special, you call Ali. He also has boundless energy and enthusiasm for Morocco and for his profession.

Ali is both a personal driver and part of the management team.  He shares his wife’s sensitivity and acceptance of all people.  It is truly his sole objective, on every trip, to make your Moroccan experience the absolute best.

Abdou was born in a small town on the outskirts of the Sahara desert. He has been working in the tourism industry since was 10 years old.

He knows the Sahara desert with his eyes closed. Abdu has a winning smile and a dry wit. He speaks Darija (Moroccan dialect of Arabic), English and French.  He also knows where to find things in odd places and is always discrete. He likes to make jokes and surprises. Feel free to ask him for help with special occasions. He is very laid-back.

Mohamed was born in the South of Morocco, but moved to Casablanca at any early age at worked in the commercial sector.

Consequently, he knows both the South and Casablanca like the back of his hand. He has led tours in both Casablanca and other cities in Northern Morocco.

Hassan is our somewhat shy, albeit very friendly driver. He grew up in a small village in Southern Morocco.  He started in tourism leading camel treks in the Sahara desert, before moving to Marrakech and becoming a professional tourism driver. He does tours all around Morocco.

He was born in Zagora, a small city in Southern Morocco, a popular layover on the way to the Sahara Desert. His family moved when he was teenager to the Atlas Mountains, where he lived in Todra Gorge, the famous climbing and hiking gorge. He is a family man with two children. As a driver and guide, he is very conscientious; he is cautious, safe, professional and punctual.  He wants his clients to know they are in good hands.

Youssef is a young man who was born and grew up in the Sahara desert. He has spent his working life in the tourism field. He started working as a camel guide. He learned to translate English while working with tourists. He is very gentle and kind.

Khalid is a young man from M’Hamid on the outskirts of the Sahara Desert. He studied English and received his license from the University of Ibn Zohr in Agadir. He enjoys working with visitors and sharing his love for his country and Moroccan culture with others.

Miriam is a young Berber woman from the Atlas Mountains. She learned English and worked at an Argan Cooperative.

These cooperative were set up to help the advancement of women in Morocco.

She is an English translator and is available to make your trip enjoyable and safe.

Professional tour guide in Marrakech

Said was born in M’Hamid, on the outskirts of the Sahara desert to a Berber family. He received his professional license from the University of Ibn Zohr in Agadir. He has worked as a teacher in a private school in Agadir. After moving to Marrakech, he worked in a travel agency. Later he passed the national exam to be a professional tour guide in Tangier. Presently, he leads wonderful, culturally and historically rich walking tours in the medina in Marrakech.

Professional tour guide in Fez

Aziz was born in a small, historically Jewish town near Fez, in the Middle Atlas Mountains. He studied and received his license at the Dhar Imahraz University in Fez. He owns and works on his own olive farm when he is not giving colorful and historically in-depth walking tours in the medina in Fez.  He knows a lot about olive oil and cooking. Feel free to ask him.

Professional tour guide in Marrakech

Lhousain grew up in a small village in the High Atlas Mountains near Lake Ben Lwidyan. He started as farmer and a shepherd before doing his studies in Azila, a city near Ouzoud Waterfalls. He received his professional education and license from a school in Tangier.  He leads engaging and fun walking tours in the Medina in Marrakech.
