STEP ONE: How many people in your party? Adults? Children?

Starting prices and itineraries are typically quoted in US Dollars or Euro for private 4×4 tours and are per person based on a couple / two friends travelling together. Generally children under 5 are free, children between 5 and under 12-14 are half-price and children 12-14 or older are considered adults.

STEP TWO: How many days do you wish to travel in Morocco?

There is a lot to see in Morocco and many of the most interesting points of interest require long drives between locations. It is recommended that you plan at minimum 3 days and 2 nights. However, be prepared that you will spend long periods of this time driving between points of interest. You can research suggested tours routes on our TOURS page. (link to Tours page).
We also can accommodate day trips from Marrakech (see our TOURS page). We also can arrange transfers between Marrakech and Casablanca airport and other locations in Morocco.

STEP THREE: Where do you want to commence your holiday in Morocco?

Most people commence their holiday in Marrakech or Fes (Fez). From the US, you would into Casablanca or Marrakech. You can take an internal flight to Fes (Fez). From Europe, you can enter Morocco by car/boat at the port of Tangier or at the airport located in Tangier. You can also enter Morocco from Europe by flying into Fes (Fez) directly. Most people choose their point of entry based upon price of the airline ticket and the logistics of the route from their departure city to the arrival city.
From the US, most people will fly through London, Amsterdam, Paris or Madrid to either Casablanca or Marrakech. You should note, that some itineraries require that you stay overnight in the transfer city. It often can be less expensive and more convenient to fly into Casablanca and arrange for a ground transfer to Marrakech. However, this is not always the case, so check alternative routes to get find the best itinerary and fares.
There are also internal flights within Morocco to Casablanca, Rabat, Tangier, Fes (Fez), Zagora and some smaller airports too. You can also fly by helicopter into the desert should you prefer to avoid driving through the desert. You can also travel by camel in the desert should you prefer a leisurely pace.
Where you fly into may also inform your itinerary. For example, if you want to visit the Northern coastal cities or the popular Blue City, Chefchaouen, you would want to fly into Tangier or Casablanca.
If you want to commence your holiday on the Atlantic Coast or head straight to the desert, you can fly into Casablanca (or Marrakech) and take an internal flight to Agadir or Zagora respectively. You can also fly into Casablanca or Marrakech and take ground transportation between the arrival city and your destination city. Most people opt for ground transportation so that they can see the countryside and sightsee along the way.

STEP FOUR: What type of holiday do you want? Where do you want to visit?

There are many different types of tours in Morocco, requiring different amounts of time and various locations within Morocco. We suggest that you visit our TOURS for ideas on where to visit and the different types of tours that we offer. Please remember, these are only suggested tours and we can tailor a personal tour for you.

STEP FIVE: What sort of accommodations do you want to stay in?

There are many options for accommodations in Morocco and they vary by style, amenities and price. You can find a description of the different types of accommodations on this page. The following are the most common:

  • Apartment
  • Auberge
  • Berber Bivouc (Berber Tent Camp)
  • Boutique Hotel
  • Dar
  • Eco Lodges
  • Hotels
  • Kasbahs

STEP SIX: What is your budget? Do you want to stay in rustic, standard, premium or luxury accommodations?

Step 5 and Step 6 are obviously related. Your budget may inform your choice of accommodations. There is a wealth of authentic, diverse and beautiful accommodations through Morocco from 5 Star deluxe hotels to simple Berber bivouacs (tents). In general, the prices for accommodations are very reasonable in Morocco, especially compared to American and European accommodations. A reasonable budget goes a long way here. On the other hand, if you have a tight budget, expect to have limited amenities and rustic accommodations, though generally still satisfactory.

STEP SEVEN: What type of vehicle will you need?
