Sounds like you want to do an overnight, not just a day tr=
ip. What is your budget? There will be transportation costs, accommodation/=
food costs and activity costs to consider. There are budget camps and luxur=
y camps. I need to know a little more
about what you are looking for. Will you ladies share a tent?

This is really one of my favorite places to decompress and=
get away from stress. There isn’t a lot to do there, but I believe that Pa=
ru can arrange for massages, meditation, camel rides or desert treks.

Hi Paula,

Thank you for contacting Your Moroccan Experience. 
If you are interested in the real desert, it is more than a day trip. =
Either Merzouga or Erg Chegaga. 
If you want to go out to Agafay desert, which is about 30 minutes outs=
ide of Marrakech, you can ride camels, do quads and have lunch in a tent. I=
t is nice, but it doesn=E2=80=99t have the large sand dunes. 
Some people go to Ourika Valley for a small hike and view the waterfal=
ls.
You could also do a day trip the ocean at Essaouira. 
We offer day trips in a private SUV with driver. A day trip is about 1=
500 to 2000 DHS (150-200 euros).  This is for transportation only. Act=
ivities are extra. 
I would not recommend a woman going by herself to the desert, especial=
ly now that tourism is down and there may not be other tourists around.&nbs=
p;
We could recommend a very relaxing guest house on the edge of the dese=
rt – near Mohammed El Ghizlane operated by a German woman, where my brother=
in law works. I recommend it, because I feel it would be safe for a woman =
alone. She also offers mediation
and yoga sometimes.
